Hello everyone!
My name is Caio and I'm really happy to join the community. I'm 32 years old, married with one child of 1 month old!
My story looks like some of you guys from what I read. I never focused much in anything productive in my life and barely followed the script, you know, good school, good college but always with a bad performance overall.
I was not interested in studying and my days were largely consumed by gaming, so my graduation took 10 years to complete by repeatedly failing in engineer. In the last years in college I met my wife and that took me to the right path in life (or so I thought).
I entered a huge american company as intern and was very happy, believing in all that bullcrap they throw at us about the value they want to bring to people. After almost 5 years in here I finally understood what this is all about. The job of reaching magic numbers that have no meaning at all with real value or actual results to boost the career of some boss that you don't like to maybe, MAYBE, be able to have a raise or promotion and earn a disgusting little bit more. A daily chore without any meaning.
That's when I started reading a lot and finally have the pleasure of finding these two books. I think this is the way of real value and not be another piece in these giant companies focused on pleasing shareholders following the carrot in a stick until my days are over.
My mission in life is be rewarded by the value I'm able to give, not selling my hours to anyone.
I hope I'm able to contribute with you guys during my path as well!
