U.S. National Debt Clock : Real Time

this site has caused me to almost go into a nervous breakdown, literally, i'm sitting here just crying and bawling my eyes out, and really there's no point in it because i can't control it but still i don't know what to do, i was watching the net interest portion and the interest owed on the debt increased $100,000 in 2 minutes, also there's a state debt section on this page as well, i've been on a debt tangent this past few weeks between my other thread city debt and this you might not think its such a big deal, i was watching my own states debt clock last night and in the 5 minutes i was brushing my teeth our states debt went up 20 something grand, which is more than one of my parents earns a year, and if you look at the national debt our portions well over $200,000 if not more, and continually increasing at a rapid rate, now i know this is nothing new but it's reaching the terrifying level, i can't sleep or eat or anything because literally there siphoning the wealth away and we had nothing to do with it, what good does it do to work save invest if they're gonna continue increasing taxes and inflation i'm almost in full blown despair

The best thing that I ever did was to detach from the idea that you have to live in one particular country while worshipping it (typically the one you were born and raised in).

I don't know your life choices, but most likely, it is not your debt or you had very little influence over it. You owe them nothing.

Think globally, and when you feel like it, move. Say f**k you to incompetent idiots who have so much control on your life.

Calm down a second and do some research. The reality is, you can't find a nation that isn't in debt. If the government didn't continue to take on debt, the US would be nothing compared to what it is today. Government spending builds infrastructure and allows our economy to flourish.

Have you read the news lately? The new tax bill is lowering rates and doubling the standard deduction, so why do you say that taxes are continually increasing?

The first thing I would suggest is break your emotional and mental pattern by being laser focused on the debt. Where do you think your focus should be? I have been on this site for four years almost, and I've never looked at the National Debt. I could careless. I have no control over the outcome of the debt.

What I do have control over, is where my life is going. Working on projects, education, or creating my individual wealth. Now where ever I live on the earth my projects, wealth I build, and my physical body will go. I can tell you no matter what your fears are, there self-made, self-created, assumptions, conclusions, and worst case scenario. Black and white thinking, Catastrophic thinking, Overthinking.

For your first project go do some research on those three key words.

Imagination is grand and we love creating stories. What's your best story for your life? Write it down.

Now last time I remembered, the earth is pretty solid, and holds you steady, is stable, and sturdy. If you're in water your body will float. The Sun will keep you warm, the rain will grow your food, the soil will grow your food, and in all the centuries here on earth, people survived. I just watched two of my friends survive the fire in California and the other in a Hurricane in Florida. There still alive and kicking.

Watch some videos, read a book, take a bath, listen to some music, get some fitness in. Stop paying attention to the Debt. You will be fine.

true in the short term there lowering taxes which increases the debt which as you know with your own personal bills needs to be paid sometime in the future so we're just delaying the pain

What's realistic is if you're focused there, you're bringing your low arousal down into negativity, get frozen in fear, depressed, delay your progress, and not taking any action.

And if you're not taking any action, you're not prepare for events when they do happen, and than find yourself in crisis. Being proactive is planning ahead. If you dwell on the things you can't control, other things spiral out of control, because you're creating the outcome whether you succeed or fail today, and waiting for something that may or may not happen in the future present itself with debt.
