Greetings, my name is Jacob. I am 21 years old and a high school drop out. I live with my mom and I currently work part time for $10 an hour. Sound like a failure yet?
Maybe. Maybe not.
This is my introduction but also serves a duel purpose as a personal confession. I've gotten to where I am in life through laziness and misused time. I dropped out of school because I would have rather play an RPG than do homework. After work I would go home and piss hours of my life away playing XboxOne or browsing battle forums. I got to where I currently am in life because of the choices I made.
Then about a week ago a friend of mine introduced me to The Millionaire Fastlane , and told me how excited he was about discovering this book. At that point I made a decision. I will no longer piss away my time while continuing down a path towards becoming a smelly 40 year old who wears the same shirt with a big hole in it every day of his life.
I unplugged my Xbox and deleted my accounts off of the sights that I frequented to waist time. I now spend my time reading, going on walks/working out, studying/practicing new skills. Even before reading The Millionaire Fastlane I would proclaim that we live in the Information Age and almost anything you want to learned can be accessed for free to low costs. The only thing stopping people from learning is themselves, and sadly, myself.
I have been Xbox sober for an entire week now, and it feels good. I am a high school drop out who never went to college, but I'm also a student. I want to learn how to become a successful entrepreneur, how to manage my time to the greatest effect, and how to over come my natural laziness that has plagued me for the first 21 years of my life. It won't happen over night but I have taken the first few steps and I continue to keep on walking.
