Im a junior in high high school, and I have no intentions on going to college as I've obtained sufficient knowledge as to why it is not as valued as it used to be, and how I can be led into a prodigious amount of debt and mediocrity. As the reader, you might think I'm saying this for an easy way out, but is really the complete opposite.
I am more than half done with TMF , and continue on educating myself continuously for the years to come (graduation is the beginning of education). I devote my time out of school to complete studying and reading. I take responsibility for all of my work and to complete all of it. I am a 99 average student and what I intend on doing is getting a job after high school to save money and invest on myself. And if I make no progress within a year span, I will go to college.
Now that you kind of get an understanding of where I am coming from, I come here to ask for advice on how to not go to college. I mentioned this to my father and he does not accept this at all, since he does not believe what I am telling him, and thinks of it as an escape to BS. How can I convince him to understand and allow me to not attend college? And any advice on what I should do after finishing high school to help achieve my goals on entering the fastlane would be greatly appreciated.
