Hi everyone!
I finished reading TMF last week. It’s been a very enlightening read and has given me some new ways to evaluate my life and career.
I have been a nurse in the UK NHS for over 20 years now. I love my work and have done as well as I can (financially) while providing direct care to patients. I am certainly in the slow-lane category!
What has become clear to me of late and reinforced by TMF is that if I follow my current path I will certainly “trade 5 for 2” until I am nearly 70 and I will never have the freedom of choice I want for myself and our family.
I have a couple of ideas for web-based businesses that have scalability and high earning potential. My first obstacle is that I have very rudimentary web skills. So I have decided to develop those skills first while also learning about web-based industry. I have started a course on web development and hope to finish it in a couple of months.
All advice greatly appreciated! I look forward to meeting you all.
