Saw this today. This is the program at Muhammad Ali's funeral and I just wanted to share it with the forum.

Some could argue military service would count too...

Don't worry. I didn't expect anyone to agree.

I just don't see it. He could punch (very well). End of story.

I think Ali was more than just someone who punches very well. If all he relied on was strength and skills he probably wouldn't have won against George Foreman. But combined with intelligence and tenacity/force of will, he secured the win against a much younger and stronger opponent.

There's probably a lesson about entrepreneurship somewhere in there.

My takeaway (not from this quote, but on Muhammad Ali's life philosophy) is that he was never afraid to be great. He was never afraid to put in the work required to be the best. He never once doubted himself, he told himself on a daily basis that he was the greatest (even before it came true).

When you try to 'break normal', there's going to be people who will doubt you and actively try to bring you down to 'reality'. Trouble is, being successful is really hard, and most people don't have the work ethic or the self awareness to achieve the kind of success they want, nor will they ever.

Ali didn't fear the work. Ali didn't doubt his own ability. Ali knew exactly what he was meant to do. Ali told himself he was the best. Most of all, he told everyone who doubted him to F*ck right on off, because they didn't know him or what he was capable of.

Be like Ali.
