What sites, or types of sites, do you use or can think of that do a good job connecting business to consumer locally on the Internet? Certain things you'd turn to the Internet to, but most of the time want to find locally.

I'm stuck on these two: buying a house, buying a car.

I'm looking for any and everything to brainstorm for a site I am working on. This is one area my competitors sites are severely lacking in.

Products being advertised and sold locally - not just business listings like Yelp or even AngieList. Something that requires a more substantial profile of the business to establish legitimacy.

The best executed example I can think of is Zillow.com (I like Trulia, too). Others I can think of would be Autotrader.com.

Appreciate any input!

I use Urbanspoon to find good local restaurants.

Also used Yelp a few weeks ago to find a good local dentist.
