I’ve started cold calling as per advice outlined in the “Fanatical Prospecting” book recently (good read).
So calls were made, and while most were auto-voicemail some were appointment setters (girls on the phone). It begs the question:
WHO do I cold call?
What is the problem? I keep calling businesses scrapped by Apify from Google Maps, and, obviously, they list the numbers of their inquiry line, not the decision makers or employees.
More specifically:
How do I go from a Google Maps listing to a talk with marketing dep (if there is one) and decision-makers?
I’ve thought of calling through Apollo or similar services, but it’s quite expensive. I need to pay 100$ to get 250 phone numbers. Which is not bad,, but considering you need to call 3-5 numbers before someone meaningful will talk to you, chances of losing another 100$ on business… not again.
Edit: apologies, didn't mention - I am selling websites. Selling to electricians.
