Hypothetical question, if you owned 50 acres of land tax free, what would you do with it to make it fast lane?

It's not so hypothetical because thats how much land my family owns and ever since reading the book, I've been looking for possible ideas to build on it to make it a Fastlane business model.

That right there. Can you build on it? Otherwise it’s some form of cultivation or if you are lucky enough to be right by an airport you turn it into a car park.

A lot depends so much on country, location and planning restrictions so we need more info.

So yes I can build on it and do whatever I want with it. The land is near an airport and its in the Democratic Republic of Congo. The value of the dollar is very high over there so I can do a lot more with money than if the land was here in America. For the most part, there isn't any restrictions as it is not regulated.

Diamond mine?
Possible option, only issues would be with exporting. I wouldn't get any cash value worthwhile selling within the country.

Dependent on "NEED" and how busy the airport is leaves the scope pretty wide

- Car Park
- Hotel
- Conferencing Centres
- Park and Ride
- Tourist area?? Buses with tour guide

Did i accidentally make a ok-ish suggestion?
Ethically sourced rough diamonds actually seem to be gaining in popularity with small time jewelry makers.

Those sounds like great ideas. I'd have to do more prospection so I can figure out how big the need would be for that stuff.

You actually made an excellent suggestion and I will actually look into that.

I would just need to update my knowledge on diamond mining as well as exporting. People are already doing that everywhere in the Congo but I need to improve where they are failing.

Can you explain further on what you mean by Car Park and park and ride?

You could use part of it to build a self-storage facility
That could work but the only problem is with theft. The people over there don't exactly follow the rules so trusting them with a "self service" would be a stretch.

Car park - somewhere for people to leave their car when flying. You could setup a transfer to airport (shuttle bus) for ease.

Park and Ride - Similar idea but if you are near a town people leave their cars and you take them in to the centre by bus. This is for busy citys and depends on geographic location

I'll hit you up :D.
How far is the land from the nearest major city?
It's located in the biggest city in the country. Kinshasa. Population is well over 10 million.

Ah i see, that makes a lot more sense and could be very possible.

CBRE/Marcus&Millichap/JLL/etc. would be happy to sit down and talk with you about some options (and how they could facilitate/get involved)

Leverage their knowledge and connections

Good luck!

Hey thanks for replying. What is those companies that you posted? I have never heard of them. I'm going to research them but have you had any personal experience with them?
