What way to go?

Hi,

I have created a product and im thinking of what way to go now. Should i try to sell it to retailer directly or should i try to make a name for myself on etsy, ebay and amazon first?

I launched the product on ebay and etsy and a swedish wepage like craiglist and made 1 sell the first day! Maybe i should focus more on ebay and etsy to start with and then move on to retailers?

talked to one retailer,a big ecommerce site in my country . they replied that i can send a sample but that they mostly only take from known brands who drive traffic by it own

Doesnt sound so smart to me.
You need to get sales on your own first, then you can get distribution..

You mean consignment? It's an option, not easy to say without knowing the product. However retailers would look at consignment if the product is new and deemed a risk.

its beauty product. Im thinking that i need to get it out to hairdresser and salons. How would you guys market it without any budget? Is social media the only one? And giving samples and making the customer come back for more?
