So already on the eve of the 30 Day Challenge last night, I was relaxing with Adi watching Pink Panther 2 that we rented for $1 from Redbox and I get a call out of nowhere, it's my good buddy Charlie(who will be standing up at our wedding btw
) and he just says "look outside!".
He had his dad's SL 63!!! And best of all, he let us drive it! Considering before this the nicest car I have ever driven was his dad's previous XK8, this was a dream come true! With the sequential paddle shifters and the top down, it was just the boost I needed going into what will be the most action packed month of my life! To top it off, I think I have a new favorite German car, not that I wasn't in love with SL's to begin with, but as Kenric stated in another post, you don't truly know what car you love until you actually drive it!
To top it off, this morning I got up for my training run, before today I was badly off course on my training and the longest I've done was 8 miles last weekend(was supposed to do 12 :nonod
, well today with no excuses I did not only the full 13 on my schedule, but had enough in the tank to full-out sprint the extra .1 to boot to make it a full "half-marathon"! Finishing time was around 2:35-2:40 which puts me on pace to shatter the "just finish" time of 6:01:32 I got last year :coolgleamA:
So in the words of Ice Cube- "Today was a good day"... and it's only getting better, if there's one bit of advice I can give to others was the slogan "Impossible is nothing" was ringing in my head the whole way and for any of life's challenges you can do it!
