This not only affects online marketing but the direct response industry as well. This article talks about Visa, but I know Mastercard is doing it too. Some call centers no longer accept mastercard for certain free trial campaigns. At the call center that I'm familiar with, it looks like we will be going pay up front campaigns.

Free trials having been ramping up heavily in the last few years.
So this is a pretty big change.
