Turning my idea into reality....help?

I have an invention I need made. The problem is, the product itself will be new to the market, so there isn't anything out there like it. It is an electrical device, and I really do not know what components would need to go in it, and how to make the product itself work, would I have to talk to a professional about getting it made, or learning about electrical engineering?

If you decide to go for an electrical engineering (professional) keep in mind (or I must say to make sure) that both you and the professional have the exact connection about the product that you expect create. An excelent communication IS A MUST.
I'm having a problem with that question. When he speak french, I speak chinese, if he speak dutch I speak afrikaans....
You see... for me is impossible to continue in that way...
