...at least that's what I'm starting to believe. I think too many people have the mindset of one or the other and not both. If, in the beginning, you have a solid amount of traffic but poor content/no value, it won't be long until traffic drops off and your business sinks; or if you have good content and provide value but have no traffic, it won't matter because nobody will be able to find you.
If you work on your search rankings in the beginning (with me it will be certain seo methods) and gain traffic quickly, customers will be able see that you offer value (provided you have good content) that much sooner and more will continue to use your products. Therefore, you'll be able to maintain good rankings over time, regardless of any "fluctuations" that might occur with the search engines. Naive maybe? Thoughts?
