You are using too many apostrophes where they don't belong.

You have to have something of value to offer your customers, but it can be something you already have. If you have experience or detailed information about a specific field or area of study, a blog is a great way to build a web presence that draws traffic and then monetize that traffic. You can also publish ebooks and that sort of thing with your information. If you don't have anything but hard work to offer, you can always resell yard sale stuff on ebay, or start an ecommerce site that uses drop shipping or something similar. If you are a programmer or can learn it, then the sky is the limit on what you can start "on a shoestring", because whatever ideas you have for creative new web tools, or games, or new ideas for ways for people to use the internet, you can create it.

The key is thinking outside the box. Do something no one else has done, or find something that you can improve in a way that no one else can. Really, all you have to do is get traffic (defensible traffic if possible) -- then monetize it.

Ha! This is so funny, but it's true too and that's why I bought a bunch of X-rated domain names when I was buying domains.

I used to work across the street from a company that sold mail order sex toys. They were busy when the economy was good, and even busier when the economy was bad.
