Time and its relation to the Choices we make...

Hi Guys,

I'd just like to take a moment to share with you my current mindset, and see if any of you have been or are currently in the same place.

At the moment I feel like I'm stood at a crossroads, have no clue which road to take, and the indecision is causing a paralysis, the fear is literally causing me to do nothing at all other than sleepwalk through my daily life.

My Fear is this, I am 40 years old, my health is a rollercoaster ride, and I am worried that should I take the wrong road I have wasted time. Thats it, wrapped up in a nice little nutshell, and it drives me insane!.

I had a bad scare last year, taken into hospital with pneumonia, and told had I gone in a day later I wouldn't have survived, I'll be honest, it scared the shit out of me, for the obvious reason I could have died, but also because If I did die, I would leave a beautiful wife, and 6 gorgeous children with no real savings or any comfort, their lives would become drastically different, and not for the better.

As things are now, I run a Marketing Agency, and it pays the bills with a bit left over every month, we manage just fine, but I don't see this being my future, the way I see it I have 2 options:

A. To make enough money in the next few years to ensure they have enough to be comfortable for long enough to get them on their feet.

or

B. To build something that should anything happen to me, my wife could take the reins and carry on with a good income, something to build on.

Which brings me back to my current predicament...Which road to take to get me to A or B.

Here are my current possibilities:

I've finished reading all the posts in Biophases thread recently, and ecommerce really appeals to me, I currently have several ecommerce clients, some of whom I have managed to take from earning £100's per month to in some cases over £20k per month with my knowledge of Web Design, SEO, Social and Google Adwords, so I am confident with the right products I could probably do the same, its at this point my mind goes blank, looking at the huge choice of products and where to start the paralysis sets in again.

I'm probably leaning towards this business model the most, due to the fact its definitely something I could get my wife involved in, and show her the ropes once I've mastered them myself.

Another option would be to try and scale and build my current business, although this poses a lot of problems if I popped my clogs. It involves dealing with clients on a regular basis, which is one thing I know my wife would have issues with, she is very shy and doesn't cope very well in social situations unless she knows the person well. Add to this the huge learning curve and its not too appealing. I could of course hire someone to do all that, but then that would bring its own problems. So while this could be an option, its probably not a good one.

I think the questions I'd like to get more insight to from you amazing guys in here would be:

1. Have you been in this position, and how did you overcome it?

2. As I mentioned the posts Biophase has put on have been amazing, is there anywhere I can get more info on making as sure as possible (I know that no-one can guarantee this) that the products I go with will have a good chance of selling - courses/books/posts etc.
