Well, it's been a while.

I don't think I have posted here in a while, (actually I know I haven't). When I reflect on my 2016 I can see a lot of things I did well and a lot that I didn't.

So, 2017 is going to be the year that I really kick on. Get my business launched and start making money.
I have decided no more procrastination or more specifically no more distraction. Focus on the main aspects of my business, get that launched and then work on the toppings.

Last year I spent a lot of time on periphery projects, gaining social media followers, creating content of value to lure people in to my business, to generate interest. To a degree it has worked. But to what ends? I still don't have a product to sell. And I won't do for a while.

My business relies on the creation of content. And I need a lot of it before I can launch.

So, my goals for the foreseeable future.

1) Get part one of my project launched. By April 2017

a) Create another 30 to 40 resources
b) Get my website designed (Ok.. more specifically that is the wife's job)
c) Get people visiting and signing up

2) Get part two of my project launched By End of August
Create 100-150 resources (this should be quicker now that I have a better grasp on what works and I am more efficient at working with my tools)

3) Complete the core of my project By the end of 2017
Again about 100-150 resources to create

4) By May 2018. Quit my job, be working full time on my business. (I would do this now, but I have a young family and we just couldn't survive if I was to quit now)


These are challenging goals. But I know I can do it. Although it took me the better part of a year to get 2/3 of part one finished.

So how am I going to do this?

Spend every minute I can at work, working on my business, not my actual job - 6hrs a week
Spend 3 hours an evening Monday to Friday on the Business -15 hours a week
Spend 10 hours a day Saturday and Sunday -20 hours.

Plus.. I am a teacher (which gives you a lot of insight into my business) so holidays, I can do 70 hour weeks when I am off.

I can't go on working the 9-5 (hah.. not that teaching is) it's killing me. It's taking the joy out of my life and it leads to nothing but mediocrity.
