Just read this article today and thought of the book, and how vital control is with any business model, whether you're flipping or creating a large scale business.
This couple made tens of thousands of dollars cleaning out all of the costcos for lysol wipes and flipping them on Amazon (each 6 pack was purchased at $20 and resold for $80). Until Amazon came out with a new policy banning sellers accounts who are price gouging and taking advantage of citizens for virus related supplies. This seller just lost their account and got banned from selling on the platform, and they probably have 2 garage fulls of lysol wipes which they can now use to wipe their a$$ with. The account which was banned was a trading account, so they may have had other businesses also under that same account which are now jeopardized. Stupid move.
This is a huge lesson to "hustlers" and business owners, and how important control is. Always have a well thought out plan, and then a backup plan, and this is just another one of those examples of people wanting to get rich overnight and not thinking things through.
