Just testing my copywriting skills in this title ;)

I just made up this in photoshop. This is an algorithm that i'll use each time I have a business Idea. So I thought I could share it here.

Feel free to provide feedbacks ;)

I have a question.

Something with a low barrier to entry is not considered fast lane.

However there is a section on this forum about publishing kindle books (which seems to have a low barrier to entry).

Is there something I'm missing here?

Three things.

. In the CENTS model, the T for Time element is more or less determined by the S for Scale element.

. Evaluate the T for Time component in CENTS not just with automation, but also with the possibilities for delegation and outsourcing.

. Control (C element) is in my opinion not a strict requirement, especially in the start-up phase. The Control element can be supplanted by Choice. Choice of infrastructure instead of Control of infrastructure. Like selling on Amazon OR Ebay (Choice) instead of selling through your own website (Control).

No, publishing for Kindle is simply not fastlane.

No, publishing for Kindle is simply not fastlane.

However, if your kindle book has some sort of success, you can leverage that and use it as an argument to a publisher, don't you ?

Just guessing, i have no experience in this domain.

I guess you have to read MJ's book.

One of the keys to a fastlane business is to have control over your business.

Working with a publisher means the publisher gets all the control. (product, price, distribution, availability, promotion, etc).

Better route is to be a self publisher.

Self publishing through Kindle can give you passive income of course.

But fastlane means setting up a business that you can sell. If your product is a book or a line of books, it means at a minimum having your own website. In other words, control.

Very cool, love the graphic! Rep+ 100!

So playing devils advocate then, why is self-publishing listed as a 'business path' in this forum?

Because self-publishing is Fastlane. However, I wouldn't call throwing an eBook up on Amazon Fastlane, which is how most people do it. Most people aren't rich. There's a method to that madness and yes you'd be right -- the barriers to entry over the last several years have been reduced to nothing. The only way to overcome the Entry issue is Excellence. Overcome E with E.

I'm doing an INSIDERS call at the end of May that will go into the specifics of publishing and how it fits/doesn't fit into the Fastlane model. I will outline what it takes to make it a worthwhile, "life-changing" endeavor.
