A hearty greeting to the Fastlane community from Bucharest, Romania!
Coming from a very modest background, I have always admired people that were able to achieve their dreams in life from the ground up, while keeping and defining their integrity. But there is nobody in my circle of family or friends that has an entrepreneurial mindset. As MJ puts it, they are MODEL citizens, and sadly I have had friction for most of my life with these kind of mindsets which pretty much made me an outcast. I firmly believe that the human being is not meant to be a being, but a becoming; to always strive to improve ourselves and surpass our limits, otherwise what's the point of having the gift of intelligence? So it befalls upon myself to absorb however I can, through whatever means possible, all the valuable information that exists thanks to the greatness of the Internet, and apply it in a senseful, meaningful way.
I'll be pushing 40 in a few years, and I can't say I have achieved much in life, except maybe a few artistic creations that I'm proud of, which I couldn't exploit properly due to an untrained mind in the art of entrepreneurship. I know the world and especially the realm of business can be harsh and unfair especially if one doesn't have a high social status or comes from an influential circle, but I also know that we can make it better, both for ourselves as individuals and for the communities we belong to.
I want to change myself in order to become a more valuable member of our species and not waste myself because I was taught to believe to be something which I'm not. I know deep down I was built for more. And I like to think that the people that have joined this forum, as presumptious as it may sound, share similar beliefs.
So, a hearty toast to all and hopefully I'll be able to provide the same value to this community that I'll be certainly given!
