First off, no, it is not written by Russ' Sharon
(grinning)
though I'm sure she has a book in her too.
Second, yeah, I am biased.
I'm featured on page 8.
But then almost every personal finance blogger is featured
and quite a few experts in other fields.
Sharon is a reporter (now for the Miami Herald)
so she wrote it reporter style.
The best of the best.
An idea for you non-fiction book writers out there.
(Carmine Gallo does a brilliant job of this also).
Is this fastlane?
No.
This is a collection of frugal tips gathered from all over the net
wrapped into Sharon's lifestory.
And frugal is not just shopping at the dollar store,
she tells readers how to quickly determine quality furniture
(look at the tracks - a tip I wished I had known years ago),
transition quickly between two jobs,
(keeping a spare set of clothes in the car - the hubby does this for salescalls)
and how to figure out if freezer items are still good after a blackout
(the ice cube in a freezer bag method - brilliant)
This book is written mostly for women
and especially women playing defense in the household
(defense being spending money wisely,
offense is of course earning big cash
- I play both).
