I did a forum search for this and was surprised not to find it mentioned anywhere. I participated in a survey for this project a couple months ago after hearing about it in a podcast, and they've recently been updating with some pretty interesting results.
Basically they compounded and analyzed a huge chunk of data regarding startups. The accuracy of their method is up for debate, and there's obviously more finesse to starting a business than can be inferred from figures, but if you're someone like me who likes looking at numbers it's very interesting, especially if you compare you own progress to some of the patterns they've found.
