I am on my way to develop a site, where professionals can add themselves to show potential customers informations about their portfolio - it should be a mix of subscription/different packages will be offered (packages depends on the quantity of informations the customers can evaluate) and commission based payments depending how many views/contacts/leads are generated from my directory to this professionals. Hm, when I write this - something like MJ has done...
I came on the idea, because I worked for years in this field, but naturally I can offer this only at 1 customer at the same time, so I was asked quite often from potential customers for another specialist who offers this in another area or country...
Commission based because a. I don't want to go the regular only subscription base or the heartless and just-because-of-money-without-soul link farms and b. they should pay only what they really get. There will be also some editorial posting and either a department selling ebooks and instructions for those customers, who wants to DIY instead of hiring a professional, ads of online retail shops and manufacturers providing the stuff needed for the DIY-part will also be added or a separate site especially for this with backlinks for SEO and SEM.
Basically this professionals are not listed in the big player affiliate networks, so I need a software where the classic affiliate program is vice versa: I get paid for my work and invoicing them instead of classic only pay other for being my affiliates.
Other solution is installing a classic affiliate software, add them as the *merchants* and me as an affiliate, which is more complicate because of sending out automated invoices.
The CMS system will be Wordpress, I have already the concept, the theme, some postings and some plugins I need beside this affiliate thing, but I have a tough time with this issue!
I hope I described it well enough, what I want - so anybody knows a software which offers this or is familiar with a business like this and runs itself? I appreciate your thoughts and recommendations about, maybe my thinking is not out of the box enough or Wordpress is not the right system at all...
