Using Apple's historical prices in Yahoo Finance as an example. Seems that they are not showing what the stock price was prior to the split in the dates before the split?
For instance, the Apple's price was hovering near $500 just prior to the 4 to 1 split last August 31, 2020.
Yet, if you go back to what the stock price was on August 28, 2020 it says it was $126. Similar to what the price was after the 4 to 1 split? Why don't they just show what the stock price was prior to the split on August 28, 2020?
Am I missing something here in my understanding all this? Thanks.
