Hey y'all !
A bit of information first.
I'm 18m and live in Pakistan. I applied to a few finnish bachelor courses a while ago and got two offers now.
1)bachelor's in science of nursing.
2)bachelor's in electrical engineering and automation.
Id like to ask, which one should I take ? The tuition fee and stuff are exactly the same.
Here's what I've gathered: nursing is a decent profession with high job security. The pay does not scale with time unless I do a masters. I'll be making on average 2.5-4k euros per month in Finland if I work there as a nurse.
I actually received the electrical engineering offer this morning and havent looked into much. I know that the pay is good and the pay scales with time but not a lot of job security or Guarantee of getting a job.
I plan on working there until I can get citizenship or at least a PR because most people are desperate to leave Pakistan. I'll focus on fastlane after.
In terms of fastlane potential I think that electrical engineering has more potential than nursing.
I can use nursing and engineering to get into countries like the US or Australia. I can use engineering to build a startup or join one But the job security in nursing gives me around 1-2k of guaranteed disposable income to invest.
Which one would you pick, and why ?
