I think I already mentioned this before, but from the moment I learned about “vibe coding” and Antigravity from @Dark Water, I was hooked.
Since then, I moved from Antigravity to Claude Code and Codex as my go-to tools, and I have been building daily.
But there is a problem.
I have built too much behind closed doors.
And the reason is simple. I am still too hesitant to put things in front of people.
Part of that is fear of rejection. Part of it is the builder trap. polishing, adding features, and pretending the product is "not ready yet", or "not good enough".
But people do not care how much time I spent building. Or if this is my passion.
They only care if the product solves a real problem for them.
The first thing I built was an Excel pricing tool for my father-in-law to use it for his company. Then I turned it into an app.
Funny enough, they still use the Excel file. The app, not so much.
That was lesson number one. The market does not reward the version I like most. It rewards the version people actually use.
After that, I built my first proper simple app. It is called Pare Gala.
It solves one basic problem: creating a common shopping list with your housemates or partner.
It is available in several languages and it is free. You add what you want to buy, share the list, and cross items out. Simple.
It is also on Google Play, because, to be honest, I wanted to cross that off my bucket list.
The next app is HonestCal.
This one already exists as a category, but I wanted my own version because I am the first customer.
It is an AI calorie tracker focused on fast logging, daily weigh-ins, easy tracking, and honesty over fake precision.
I have used calorie trackers for the last five years. Tracking has helped me keep 30 kilos (66 lbs) off for a very long time (6 years), so I know this problem well.
Most calorie apps either feel too slow, too bloated, or pretend that every food estimate is exact. I wanted something faster, cleaner, and more honest about assumptions.
And, the last app is something I built for my daughter.
It is a pixel art colouring game, and I intend to publish it as well. It has nice music, and it is fun. She was hooked on something similar, but I wanted one with a print button so she can print what she colours.
The bigger idea is that she can also colour our own family pictures.
So, in the end, the goal of this thread is simple:
I want to post my work publicly, get feedback, and stop hiding.
I know the biggest part is not just building.
It is putting it out there.
I would really appreciate honest feedback on the products, positioning, target customer, pricing, and distribution.
If something does not make sense, or if you see a weak point, please tell me. That is exactly why I am posting this publicly.
