Dude approached me and wants me to build him a sales team.
In talking with him, he is an SEO expert, looks like he really knows his stuff, but he is just a little off and having trouble finding him clients.
Now, I believe I could get him a sales team, but I am wanting to know more about SEO and what I could be getting into.
My question of most importance is:
Who needs SEO most? Like who would benefit, and I mean benefit in terms of potentially recognizing $6k - $20k or more a month from SEO services?
I'm thinking about helping this guy out, but I would really want to direct the team in the right way so that they could realize nice commissions and so that this would be worthwhile for me as well.
What is interesting about this situation, is the guy wants to have me lead his team pretty bad and so really I can write my own ticket as long as I can get him results. And what I am thinking is that it might be a challenging endeavor to get SEO sold, but one that I am confident that I can do.
I'd like to get huge company clients, but I imagine those might do most of their SEO in house. However, I'm not sure.
I do know what SEO does, how it works, and maybe not enough to do it professionally, but I know enough to know how it works, the benefits, and potentially how to sell it.
Anyway, for those of you who know SEO and the business side of it all, client acquisition, client retention, and how it works better than I do, what more advise could you give on all this or what else should I consider before thinking about building this guy a sales team?
