Small brief of my history:
Quit my job to become an entrepreneur, and get in charge of the family business.
Because of a treaty of my country and China the clothing industry felt over the years and we had to close our workshop, which was operating non-stop producing everything from garments to home textiles.
I did the inventory last week and discovered that we have over $100k of merchandise, and the monthly sales through our store are about $2000 on a good month.
So now I have to figure out how to sell all this merchandise, > than its cost, before it starts ruining itself, while I continue developping the other projects from the company.
I elaborated the following plan, as I have low funds even though there is such a hughe inventory:
1.- Go to the stores who sell merchandise as the one I sell, offer them packages or $10k of merchandise.
2.- Offer to leave merchandise to some stores free, and they pay me comission when they sell them (This involves a lot of management so I am not sure I will have the time to keep up with this one).
3.- Take pictures of EVERYTHING and post it online. (Higher margins, but a LOT of work as well).
4.- Get sales for a month and hire a salesman for 3 months to offer and sell the merchandise.
The products are good, not excellent but most of them have a high perceived value. I pretend to fund the projects we are developing (Which have a more promising future) with this money, instead of looking for investors.
Any idea or suggestion is appreciated, in this case time and resources are a limited factor.
I will keep you guys posted on how everything goes.
