Why do so many people on here seem to waste so much time reading f*cked up shit on reddit or similar sites? Don't you have better things to do?

In my opinion there no difference between the people posting on there and the people reading it. Its the same as reality shows on tv.

Because I'm subscribed to a number of subreddits on Reddit that are of value to me. Reddit is what you make it, there are subreddits for every topic under the sun. You can spend your whole time looking at pictures of cats or spend it reading up on things that you're interested in and learning from people.

It's a lot more than the front page. You can completely customise what you see on Reddit. The subreddit I found this on is /r/frugal, which for all its slowlane ideology has a lot of very useful and practical money advice.
