Hello everyone,
I was raised by 2 college graduated immigrants with ample incomes which, due to their sidewalk upbringings, has left them stressing into their respective retirements. As for me, I am the youngest of 4, got a business degree and always felt I could do more, however, I was looking for an event and was equally so a short sighted sidewalker.
This led me into several MLMs and other business ventures which all lacked control or adequate process. The world felt to blame, the economy sucked, I felt genuinely frustrated after so many generations within my family that not one could teach the ways of the world and how to achieve true wealth.
After my last failed business, I committed to the perfection of the slowlane. Worked several years in tradeskills to save for a second degree in STEM and graduated with honors to a new job in a new city across the US with little debt. Among my family and peers, I had made it! Bought a nice used car, aggressively paid my remaining student loans, and have been placing upwards to 12% into my 401k with company matching. Did I mention putting money in stocks late January of 2018? No worries. This was success to most, just not me!
Where I had previously lacked direction and process in wealth growth, I look to change myself around like minded individuals and begin answering real needs to make a real difference in this world. Done with sidewalk and unlearning the slow lane.
