X highlights that they don't have a monopoly on the narrative. I doubt we'll see a shutdown.

The problem I have with X (Twitter) is that, while allowing other narratives, they as well remove or block posts about the ones they don't like. Same shit, just a different political view. What we would need is a platform that's really open to all views, not just the one preferred by its CEO.

I wonder, 10 years from now, with the progress in tech and everyrhjng AI, would relationships matter more or less?

If everything can be done by AI agents, should we prioritize relationships or AI expertise? Which of the two will matter the most?

Ask yourself what stays the same, not what changes.

Humans will always need or want human connection.

Many people should stop trying to be Batman and aim to be Robin instead.

Being a "Charlie Munger" for a "Warren Buffet" can be a great path to wealth.

At first I just liked this comment but upgraded to gold as l left my place thinking about it all morning. I've had doors open with big players in the past and while always tried to help them, I may have passed on being a Robin because my natural instinct is to try to be Batman and I didn't focus on helping the real Batman in this situation enough.

Wooing international billionaires and famous celebrities is a national economic focus.

The bar isn’t that high.

When Jim Rogers was worth 300m (he is famous and vocal and that adds a lot of value) he gets to meet all the top political figures in the country.

There is also undisclosed “vip list” that only the immigration office knows. If you are the son of the some business tycoons of Indonesia studying in Singapore you will receive multiple green card invitations. I know this guy in my course he rejected the green card invitation more than ten times, citing that it will place him under singapore national service liability in conflict with Indonesian law.
Everyone in ASEAN also loves that sweet foreign investment dough.

Especially with the recent data centres rage and all.

Eventually when the seasons change, the Robin becomes the new Batman in his own right.

Perhaps the most counter-intuitive truth of the universe is that the more you give to others, the more you’ll get.

If your life sucks or you feel down, you’re not giving enough.

I feel safer already.

U.S. Beneficial Ownership Information Registry Now Accepting Reports

Immediate Release
January 01, 2024

Existing Companies Have One Year to File; New Companies Must File Within 90 Days of Creation or Registration
WASHINGTON -- Today, the U.S. Department of the Treasury’s Financial Crimes Enforcement Network (FinCEN) began accepting beneficial ownership information reports. The bipartisan Corporate Transparency Act, enacted in 2021 to curb illicit finance, requires many companies doing business in the United States to report information about the individuals who ultimately own or control them.

What exactly is the point of this BS?!?

I kind of rationalise it in this way.

You never know how someone you helped five years ago could have cause some butterfly effect on your present moment.

Helping others is like a form of VC investment with your time that anyone without money can do.

You never know which one will have a 100,000 x return.

I don’t know who Madison Beer is until this goes viral.

Recently, I was away on a euro trip with my family. 13 days long, 1 whole day meant for travel.

Great! it was a great trip! minus the.. Commuting. A 9 hour flight, became a 11 hour flight, a 2 hour layover became a 10 minute gap. A quiet sound broken by the screams of a child, the reclining of seats, kicking of seats, people shoving. Long story short, we lost about an extra day and a half of vacation, and about 4 days of sleep.

Im officially done with public airlines. getting there 3 hours early, having a luggage .5kg over limit. Screw it all honestly.

Yesterday I swore to myself I will have my idea up and running in 14 days. 13 days left to go and Im about 10-15% done. But about 300% more knowledgable on this.

Is there a forum to discuss about the changes of the market or where people talk about new business markets?

A CCTV camera that immediately identifies your car and pushes us towards 15-minute cities should never be put up with. It's not the government's business where ordinary people go to and from.
Best skip the vacation plans to China.

What are 15 minute cities?

I believe this 100%, and I appreciate you putting it this way. I'm curious though, have you experienced this phenomenon personally, or is your statement more theoretically-speaking?

Either way, it's a nice perspective.

I don’t yet really understand fully how it works. But it’s just a mix from my own personal experience and observation.

I think I had a limiting belief previously where it only makes sense if there is long term transactional basis.

Someone told me to give up that thought just focus on helping and giving.

Because you will never understand how it works. And by not doing it you are missing out.

You have to accept that they will be no tangible rewards through a lot of your contribution. And you will never know where the 100000x return comes from.

Besides doing what you have to do for yourself I think it’s good to allocate a time budget to just help others. Treat it as a form of VC investment that can beat any real VC investment in the long term.

It's 2pm here in Mumbai, India.
I have completed my tasks of today. Going to have my lunch and then play with my kid and rest the whole day.
The beauty of FASTLANE.
I am not rich (yet). FASTLANE is not just about MONEY. Its the ability we get to CHOOSE. The choice of Freedom.

The POWER to CHOOSE what you want, is what makes FASTLANE. I believe that.

I remember @Vigilante post of his where he left his office in mid day and someone lady asked him why is he going home and he said, because I can

Yeah. That same feeling right now.

It's an urban planning concept in which everything a person needs (food, leisure, gym, etc.) is within 15 minutes by foot, bike, or transport. This idea allows people to have better communities, less pollution, and shorter journey times to what they need.

On paper, it's terrific, as less particle pollution will be put into the local community, and people will have stronger ties. I think it's a beautiful idea. However, I simply don't trust people not to abuse the system to control people, especially with the more Orwellian policies introduced to the UK over the years.

Just got another reminder that your contacts should be saved in multiple places. iCloud deleted my cloud copy of contacts because my passcode on one of my phones was confirmed as lost by me. For my safety, I guess )
Notes are ok, mail is ok, photos are ok - all but contacts.
Edit: adding insult to injury, my Google copy of said contacts cannot be restored, because I have somewhere some device, which is logged in, and because of that they can’t possible send the second factor via sms, because of my safety, I guess

I remember seeing some startup that created ready for print version of your phonebook - guess I’ll look it up

Relationships will always matter, I believe they will matter more so as time goes on. Having a relationship with a real human is far different than any AI agent, and anything else will only be attempting to replicate that intimacy/experience.

AI agents will have their place though but it’s like getting the knock off, some are really convincing but usually the genuine version holds a higher regard. Plus, “everything” won’t be able to be done. An AI agent can’t experience love or other emotions, yet, and people have the sense of fear and urgency to live and survive that an AI can only imagine.
