What setting do I alter (I don't see one), so I don't get an email followup to every single thread that I've posted on?

Go into "User CP" located in the upper-left corner. From there, go to "Edit Options" along the left side. There should be a "default thread subscription mode" for threads. There's a drop-down box where you can select your thread subscription status. Hope this helps...it worked for me.
