Me and my brother started an e-commerce business where we are making swim shorts.

We have been designing the swim shorts for a couple of months now and tested some samples. We even have a couple of hundred dollars in preorders.

We also brainstormed some names and researched online and in business directories. We did this to see if our business name was already taken and we didn’t find anything.

We decided on STR Warrior and bought the domain strwarrior.com.

STR Warrior is pronounced “Strong Warrior”. And the other day by accident I found out there is a business called Strong Warrior Surf. They make fins for surfboards and their business is older than ours.

My question is, could our business, called STR Warrior (but pronounced Strong Warrior) cause legal problems with the business Strong Warrior Surf in regards to the business name?

We make swim shorts and they make fins for surfboards.

Any help is appreciated!
