Hi everyone,
I've been digging into the subject of Laser Cleaning for B2C, B2B & B2G - yes B2G.
I have an opportunity to buy a used Pulse Laser cleaning machine of 500W and those are examples of what can be cleaned in record times :
- B2B | Industrial tools, Surfaces, Manufacturing lines, Packaging Lines, Injection molds, Plastics Industry, Degreasing of thermoforming tooling for food trays
- B2C | Gates, staircases, chassis, renovations projects...
- B2G : removing tags, renovating outdoors, Urban maintenance, Heritage restoration.
Now thinking about it, in Europe there's no security certifications whatsoever, only in Nuclear - Petrochemicals - Oil & Gas, does it means the entry barrier is low ? No, it's high due to the investments required such as a van, a diesel generator, a fume extractor and Laser protections perimeters which blocks laser rays to hit anything it shouldn't.
To me, it sounds like it can be replicated if SOP's are clear and tutorials - formations when hiring are very clear.
1) The issue is scaling, would the franchise option be a good bet ?
Or hire internally and just scale in the country without any franchise ?
Keeping in mind, hiring one person in my region would means that i could withdraw myself from 30/40% of the operations to then scale massively with massive outreach to naval, aeronautics, very big projects.
2) Any fellow colleagues who explored this blue collar, trades service businesses who scaled ?
I understand Home Service are by far easier to scale due to lower barrier to entry and difficulty compared to this.
All remarks welcome, this is investment heavy and was not my primary choice for my next business, the first was line stripping but there's nearly 15 companies 1H30 around me alone, some who have a very large team.
The 2nd was AI B2B Systems implementations, but truth be told those niche services are not researched by most youngsters in Europe who usually prefer going for AI or Engineering, the "clean" side of it and that could be interesting.
Thanks team for your precious input as i brainstorm my next move.
