Ok guys, as some of you may know. I have a local SEO firm that is bringing in around $3,000-$5,000 a month profit right now. I have done NO SALES work, I have simply ranked my own website using (duh, SEO) and let clients slowly drip to me at a rate of a couple per month it seems (less than I would like). I have decided to cut my pay to virtually nothing (moved back home with the rents at 27, embarrassing amiright?) and I am hiring a VA full time to do all link building.
Plans to scale business:
Outsource all link building to VA
Spend ALL of my time prospecting business and developing sales for PPC + SEO
Currently I have between 5-9 clients floating. The goal is by April 2014 to blast this up to hopefully around 60 with aggressive sales. I will be cold calling most of the day and going in directly to solicit businesses and attempt to generate referrals through current clients and anyone else I can influence with leverage. If I can hit 60 local SEO clients, they will all be outsourced and I should be profiting 15k P/MO. With outsourcing average profit per customer is $250-$500. (at 60 clients i'll probably need 2 VA's and a US secretary/sales person/account manager with my expense budget at 60 clients I'll have at least $6000 monthly dollars to hire 3-4 VA's and a US employee). I will be targeting sales to my city and the next biggest city near me. I will be doing any adwords management work myself, but I plan on only targeting big ticket Adwords accounts for that side)
I will also be seeking contract work with PPC to bring in extra money for myself with whatever spare time that I have. So I can reinvest or have some money to do some shit once in awhile or move out FFS.
I'll reorganize and update this shit more later.
