Is there a way to pull up a thread or message to get a printer friendly format?

Hmmm ... perhaps this is an issue with your local settings. I have not had any issues with printing threads and I've tried on several different monitor sizings, including very large.

In the top of each thread you'll see a button "Thread Tools". Click it and it will show a drop down menu, from there just select "Show printable version"
