I’m in the process of building a price comparison website for the industry I’ve worked in the last 6 years ...
To date, there is 1 competitor with a shoddy sub-par website.
My model will work off 3 revenue streams:
1). Monthly subscriptions
- For businesses that get access to extra features on their listing
2). Affiliate links
- For purchases through our platform
3). Paid promotions
- For businesses to have a sponsored listing (appear at the top of the search results)
I’m pouring almost all expendable cash I have into this business (have an emergency fund and still keeping my job) ...
So my question to you fastlaners are:
1). Does anyone here have experience in this type of model/business
2). What advice can you give me for the journey ahead? Any pitfalls I should avoid?
