Figured it could be real useful to have a thread where people can voice problems and frustrations, in the goal that it could present business ideas for others.

What are some problems you face either in your business or in your personal life? What products do you use that you think suck? What companies are you a customer of that you dislike, but you stick with them for a lack of a better option?

How to document all the email with all of the job / job folder information??

In services business. Lots of individual jobs. How to keep everything received (files, emails, hand written notes, telephone calls, pictures, etc.) in chronological order electronically.

In hard copy it just gets printed out and put in the order it was done / received. When done, the job is scanned into pdf in order.

How to handle that electronically in a drag and drop format w/o appending to pdf constantly???

Project management software, online collaboration: Basecamp does this part pretty well. You can forward emails with attachments to their system and they will all show up in a single project. It could help your workflow a little bit. I do not think it's going to meet your printing requirements though.

Evernote size restrictions seem to limit its use long term. Google wave looked to be a solution until it was shut down. We have looked into basecamp and figuring out how to integrate into our other systems (CRM, etc.).

It is the chronological order that we need to achieve electronically. It cannot just be a 'when the file was drug in' timestamp as we may be back documenting from a few days ago and need to manually set the order.

-email
-attachment that came with email
-handwritten telephone call notes
-r&d info from web
-emails back and forth
-calcs and design drawings
-emails and phone calls
-invoice
-final emails
