Ok let's see what you guys say. I'm still learning Audacity's software so don't expect professional quality, at all. Appreciate the help everybody. (sorry there are no gremlins in these and I did not do the hobbit voice either. Just fyi)

For me it is 100% without a doubt #2 just toning down the Cali accentuation a bit.

#1 is good if you were reading audiobooks though.

#3 I'd only see as a particular voice for a childrens audiobook not general use.

#4 I can't think of a use - I wouldn't use it. It would put me to sleep.

#5 seems restrained and gives me a weird vibe.

(Context: my wife homeschools, I listen to some podcasts on youtube, and sometimes overhear my kids listening to audiobooks sometimes)

I like #1 the most, followed by #5. These seem to be most appropriate for a podcast.

The #5 intonation slightly resembles the @Kak radio show.

@Primeperiwinkle why don't you add a poll to this thread so people can vote?

Example:

Done. (I've never made a poll before.)

#1 by a mile, very professional.

#2 sounds too Valley Girl to me, but this one feels more personal if it was toned down a bit.

Not sure what kind of podcast is it, but only #1 sounds normal. Everything else is not really conversational and/or trash.

That being said, #4 is pretty dope voice for those Yoga nidra meditations before sleep.
Totally agree

Nobody is saying anything about the audio, it sounds really buzzy and clicky to me. I've been trying to figure out which effects to use. I'm glad you guys think one is good, I basically used that voice the most in the actual podcast.

5 is my voice when I've got vocal fry and im trying to not sound too loud but Im actually happy with my friends.. my bestie is a singer and she gently tries to stop me when I sound like that. I think she can hear the strain. But I didn't think anybody else could do that's interesting.

#4 is when I'm chill.

This is helpful you guys! Thank you so much.

I like your voice.

#1 sounds clear, pleasant, and moderately erotic. Could just be me, though.

#2 sounds like it was taken from an Instagram story or a vlog

#3 is great for a bedtime story and reading to kids younger than 7

#4 sounds like an inferior version of #1

#5 sounds rather unconfident, as if you are trying to keep your voice down because you're not used to speaking like that

I voted for #1.

You have a very appealing voice and you should definitely leverage it to your advantage. Podcasts, audiobooks, movies, obscure spirituality documentaries that upsell healing crystals, etc...

In terms of audio production, I've got a friend who does voice mastering for a living. He's always said "It doesn't have to be perfect for it to sound good" and that it's only a problem if the imperfections actively take away from the enjoyment/experience. In your case, you've got enough to start and it's something you can fine-tune as you go.

I'm Italian and unfortunately my English level doesn't allow me to give "competent" opinions (I didn't even fully understand what @Primeperiwinkle said, sorry :( ), so take my vote cum grano salis.

I like #1, #2, #3 and I found the last of the three very funny.

Voted for #1 but didn't mind #5 either.

#1 seems most natural to me
