Who am I? A serial idea developer. A failed corporate follower. A mega-dreamer with experience with technology going back to 1982 and my first business started before I graduated from college.
I picked up my first success book when I was just 15 and found the concept of achievement incredible. My own library of books exceeds the local library's in success titles. I still read at least 4 a month.
Since 1988, I have started, owned, or run real world businesses based on the power of technology. Some of my concepts have been adopted (stolen) by others because they were so far beyond the curve of available technology at the time.
I have made good money, became trapped by the notion of a paycheck, and currently I am working on getting off the end of the rope and climbing again. Probably the worst thing was losing myself in a forest of uncertainty as the sun is setting.
My first love is always idea research and development. If I could do nothing but generate ideas for other people I would be content (No I have not figured out how to market it yet!). No subject is off limits, no potential unseen. That's just the way I approach the world- no limits.
I do have stumbling blocks that I am contending with but they are almost all internal and just a matter of finding the right switches to throw. I also contend with 3 daughters and a wife and the never ending battle for more income without losing the house. Really, its best to achieve success while you are still single but its not impossible.
Who am I? Someone that came here long ago and then got caught up in living and lost my way till recently. Everyone needs a network of like minded souls to talk to. The group is unique on the web and the only place that I ever bothered to join.
We are unique. I don't know if you any of you realized that. We are the gold coins in buckets of pennies. Never forget that and never let any one tell you differently. Others think, talk, even dream about doing there own thing but few do. Just like when I decided to move to the country on the edge of town and everyone is oohing and aahing and wishing they could- but never will. I decided, I did. Simple formula really.
Simple close I have seen the top of the heap, I have been in the mud, I have been shackled by the yes men, and felt the weight of being on the verge of total lose. I'm still alive and what I learned is this; it all will be forgotten in months. I have seen other recessions come and go and realized just today- I don't remember one damn thing about them.
What does that tell you? PhxMJ and guys glad your still here. Getting lonely on this hill amongst the wage slaves.
