Paralysis and a bear

Today I was sound asleep on my couch, without a worry in th world. In my dream I was in the same bed, reading a book. I found myself in the middle of a room, unable to move.
It was not a problem that I was unable to move, I was just reading a book anyways.

But of course, my past and future came knocking, making sure I need to stay nimble, and be ready to react and escape.
It came knocking in the form of a giant brown bear. Slowly circling my bed.

Before the bear came in, I had no worry in the world. But the moment I looked the bear in the eye, I knew I had to move.

But I could not. I was paralysed.

The bear keeps circling me, and as it is behind me, reaching for my legs dangling off my comfortable bed, only then could I gather the energy to move my body, and stand up, towering over the bear.

At this point I found myself awake, and back in the real world.

The bear had reminded me that it's time to move, and a crisis is still only one step away.

I hope you are all aware of your bears, and not so comfortable that you can't outrun them.
