"Winning is not found in the prize, winning is found in the doing."

I woke up this morning, and that was the first thing that came to my mind. I was either half asleep or in a dream. It was a voice that said it. I have googled to make sure I didn't hear it somewhere or maybe read it somewhere. But I have been thinking about it. Sometimes, a lot of us focus on the destination, and miss out on the journey. the destination might be the prize of whatever we are doing, but to win, we must enjoy the journey, and make the best out of it, and if we do that, we will certainly get to the prize. And if we don't get to the destination and our journey has to be curt short, we can still look at the journey we took however short or long it was and saying, it was a great journey.

If your plan is for instance to drive cross country on a road trip and stop at every state or maybe fly around the world and see as many countries. If your car breaks down at the 30th state, or something happens to your health/funds and you can't continue your trip around the world. You still didn't lose! You may not have achieved your final goal, but if you really did enjoy the journey you had, you still won. You didn't give up. A lot of people in life will never get up and do things, just by doing, you are already winning.

I woke up this morning and I kept repeating that phrase to myself so I don't forget it. I don't know why/how it came to me, but I thought I do share.
