Hello guys,
I figured Id wrap up my Intro and first questions into one post!
My name is Fred, I live in Montreal and am starting my First year of University, majoring in economics.
If had some small experience in being an entrepreneur over the years as I started some small companies between the ages of 16-present. I always enjoyed business and loved the feeling of making money for myself on my own terms rather than for someone else.
Most of my family members are all small business owners, some pretty successful. Ive learned through them that running your own business is not a walk in the park and the few people who did succeed did so through determination and hard work, not luck. We create our own luck.
Enough with the intro, here are a few of my questions as well as my areas of knowledge. If anyone needs any help or has questions related to my topic of knowledge please PM me or post as I love helping other members.
1. I realize that I must go into the internet business as the demographics here work against me. I need to learn some programming, and how to build a website.
What books do you guys recommend? What would be the best way to learn? Any specifics?
2. Canada is a wonderful country, but the population in relation to its land mass makes for an arguably underpopulated country. I would love to launch my site, or store for the US market, any foreseeable problems?
3. I realized that I was chasing money until this point. I am now trying to think as a Fastlaner and trying to add value to make money.
What helped you guys change your state of mind?
Overall, I believe that I really need to learn how to program and build websites. I have done some research on this forum (Dont worry, I actually search) and started playing around with wordpress, Codecademy and dreamweaver.
I have a decent amount of capital in case I must outsource anything, I know I wont become a pro over night, but I would like to do as much as I possibly can myself.
Now, for my specialty:
I have been a realtor since the age of 17, and specialize in revenue property, specifically larger multiplexes. I am quite knowledgeable on the subject and would love to help anyone if real estate is there planned means of wealth preservation or creation.
Hope my post wasnt too boring!
I hope to make some good friends here,
-Fred.
