Hello I am currently starting own import export business selling laptop cases. One of my customers are asking me to help them produce some cases for a dell laptop. I was wondering is it possible for me too help them create the cases if I know a factory oversees that can help me do it and I have done business with in the past? The cases are like the "Speck" cases in which it clips on too the laptop and sticks so it prevents scratches, damages, etc... Since I need the case to be identical to the outer shell but I will not be coping the logo just the outer shell, do I need to get the rights from dell to create the cases? Should I contact a patent lawyer for this? As well if I do need to get permission how do I do it? Is there a proper way to do so? I see all the websites copying apple laptop cases but they don't use the apple logo just the shell to cover it... is it legit? Appreciate any help. thank you!
