Well to say the least I have always been a car guy ever since helping my dad change brakes when I was 2. Couldn't really help it. Although, looking at my past experiences buying and selling cars I noticed a trend. See if you see it also:
First Car - 1982 Chevy S-10. Paid $300 invested $850 in interior and engine. Sold $2500 Profit = $1350 I drove this truck for only about 4 months
1988 Dodge Daytona Turbo. Paid $400, Sold engine for $500. Rebuilt engine for $350, Sold car for $1200. Profit - $950 I drove this for about a year
2000 Dodge Dakota R/T - Paid $15,500 Drove for almost 3 years Sold for $10,350. Profit $-5150, but I did drive it for 3 years!
2003 Ford Mustang Cobra - Paid $22,000, Drove for 1 1/2 years, Sold $23,500 Profit - $1500
2005 Yamaha R1 - Paid $8000, Rode for 1 year Sold for $7500, the guy who bought it got scared and sold it back to me one month later for $5500. Then I Re-Sold it for $7500 again. Profit - $1500
This was just last night:
2000 Ford F-150 - Paid $5200, Drove for 2 years, Sold for $5500. Profit $300
So, Over the span of driving for the past 10 years I have actually PROFITED $450 from buying and selling cars.:urock2:
INSANE. And its not like any of these were Lambo's or anything. I guess I have just gotten kinda lucky. It feels good though. lol:groove:
