ATW's Build a Widget made me decide to create a site called HowLuckyYouAre.com. My goal is to create a quiz in which visitors answer questions about how lucky (or unlucky) they are. The goal, of course, will be to earn the badge "100% Luck-Struck," subtly plugging my book of the same name. So help me think up some multiple-choice quiz questions. There should be <10 to keep people interested. SO what should I ask?

1. Do you believe in luck?
2. Do you believe you are lucky?
3. What was your luckiest moment?
4. ...

I discovered a service called QuizBox that helped me out. Wanna find out how lucky you are?

Anyway, what do you think of this concept as "linkbait?" It doesn't generate a badge, but it does link to my sales page.

Good News, Google AdWords now lets you create display ads for free (to include in your established campaign), and I was able to incorporate my interactive luck quiz in a pretty cool one!

I have not been promoting my quiz's landing page yet, so it has received only 25 visits. Of those, six (24%) have clicked through to my book's landing page. Of those, one (17%) have joined my mailing list.

I feel pretty good about this, though benchmarking is a bit challenging. I will drive traffic to the quiz after conversion is a sale, not just a sign-up.
