So, I decided to not do affiliate marketing although maybe one day I still might for extra cash. Ehh
My new idea is to create a website aimed at fighting/contesting traffic tickets. I've fought a total of 6 tickets in the past 2 years (3 of them my own :eusa_clap
and I've won all of them by dismissal from the court. Each ticket ranged from $230-300. I live in California and we get raped sideways by the court's traffic enforcement. I hear in some states a speeding ticket is around $25-50 or so? Don't quote me on that Im not entirely sure.
There are already websites already offering this kind of service but I plan on not only making a solid, customized defense, but adding MORE convenience than they are. I'll write up your defense and even priority mail it for you if you suck with deadlines. I'll be in constant touch with you throughout the entire process and the best part is, you never have to step a foot in court and neither will I. Which is why its cheaper to come to me than an attorney that will most likely tell you, "you don't have a case and I might be able to reduce the fine for you instead"
I went to an attorney the 2nd time I got a ticket and thats the bullshit he told me. I fought it on my own and won. Cash exonerated: $234.00 and still zero points on my record. And yes I have the court letter to prove it. Disclaimer: I am not in any way shape or form providing legal consultation. I am simply providing you with suggestions/alternatives/loopholes/tips from my own successful experiences and the experiences of others. They are mere interpretations of the law and I of course am no substitute for an attorney.
Anyway, I am very excited to begin this venture. A few questions though. I will have to file papers for an LLC correct? So I looked online and found this site
Pricing Packages for Creating an LLC | LegalZoom.com
It offers 3 different packages and I am not sure if the most basic one will suffice? I am on a tight budget and want to keep all costs as low as possible. Anyone know?
The other gripe I am having with is payment issues. If I dont win your case, your money is fully refunded. But how would I get someone to pay me before the trial which is a 1-2 month process after the ticket has been cited and then you have wait another month or so for the verdict (guilty, not guilty, dismissed) after you send all necessary forms for contestation. I could be naive and ask for payment after they have won the case but who can you trust especially over the internet? But thats why I am hoping by posting the actual court letters of exoneration on the website will help boost credibility and trust. Instead of just having 50+ written testimonials that no one has any idea where they came from or even if they're legit.
I tried thinking about paying me half now half later but that already sounds complicating if lets say Im keeping track of 10-15 clients or more. Not too efficient at all.
Obviously I am not going to charge hourly. I will be charging a flat flee but then not all traffic tickets are going to be same amount. If my flat fee is $200 for example, and the ticket was only $120, I can't over charge the cost of the actual fine. Of course, if you consider how much money they will save by not getting a point and having their premiums raised for 3 years, $200 is nothing. 200 was just a figure I randomly thought of just now. Still deciding on a fair price.
A friend of mine is doing some website designs for me and I am beginning to write my sales page on word document. One thing I noticed about these other beat your ticket sites, is that they are almost too informative to the point where its sort of overwhelming to the reader. I plan on simplifying and keeping the back end details in the kitchen where it belongs and instead try to provide a clear, concise, simple and welcoming page that gives relief or some hope to the reader. Currently I am fighting 2 more tickets: one for my mom and one for a friend and I hope I win those two to add to my testimonials or see it to believe it page. (Ill come up with a better name for that). I think this is a good service and I know how stressful it can be because Ive been there. I got 3 tickets in the span of 6 months and felt completely helpless and very broke. 2 of those tickets were bullshit cited by a cop trying to make his monthly quota. Most people dont know they can contest their tickets or believe its a hassle to show up in court and they pay out of their noses without realizing they have rights with pretty damn good odds of winning. With most traffic tickets its this: profit comes first before anyone's safety. So F*ck it, get yours. I certainly dont lose any sleep over it.
I still have some more thinking to do on why my service is better than others. Trial by declaration is no secret although, you'd be surprised how many people still don't know about it. Sometimes its not even fair. One time I received the letter giving me the bail amount but there was no freaking option to contest it wtf??? I had to write out my own 40591(b) Not guilty plea form to tell them I wanted to contest. Assholes right?
Thanks for reading guys and I will keep you guys posted on my progress. Check out this guy Steve Miller if you want who did the same thing and succeeded. Its very possible.
Speeding tickets fix makes a million - Dec. 27, 2011
Here is a small, free tip for those of you guys who might not know. Never, ever, ever pay your bail amount by credit card online. If you do, the case closes automatically. Why? I dont know, its beyond me. I had to drive to LA wait in line at court at 7:30 am and ask the judge to reopen my case. Always send a check.
