I know that Indy is affordable since I live within minutes. I sure didn't have to worry about cash flow vs appreciation in my residential real estate investing.

I see articles like this all over Yahoo also right on the main page. Usually, they're linked to CNN. I wish I knew of a place that did some sort of comparative ratio of Real Estate market price to Rental Market value or something like that. I'm sure such a thing exists, but I don't know where. Anybody here know of anything like that?

And the thing is in Indiana, Indy is the most expensive place to live. Fort Wayne is really reasonable in comparison to other cities it's size.

Affordability isnt the only reason to buy in an area though. They dont tell you that Indy has a 9 month supply of houses either. Its affordable because the foreclosures keep appreciation in check. Oh yeah, we are in a bit of a property tax crisis at the moment too.
