Hello everyone. I've been a lurker on these forums for about a month now and I'm bored at work so I decided finally join and write this up. As a kid I've always had this feeling and desire to do something great with my life... and to not go down the same path my parents went down. They hate their jobs and struggle to stay afloat. I'm no longer a kid but I do have that same desire. I am 22 years old, no college education, working a dead end job, and unsure of what I'd like to do to support myself. I'm just starting to fully grasp the concept that hard work and determination leads to success. Its such a simple concept and you hear it all the time, but I never fully realized what went into it. These forums have given me a better understanding of that and I believe I have what it takes to become successful. What success means to me is being free from being enslaved at the work place... Not having to live paycheck to paycheck, not having to be worried and stressed about money, loving your job, paying your bills on time, actually living life and enjoying your short stay here on earth. Sure the mansions and lambos are nice and I'd love to have them someday :coolgleamA:, but the freedom is what I desire most. I'm not exactly sure what I want to pursue. I think my first venture will be either web design, seo, or just a useful online service. Last year I started a website and eventually earned about $5,000 just in ad revenue. I was stoked. For the first time in my life I was earning money by myself and BEING MY OWN BOSS. I loved it. It's funny how money you make on your own feels just a bit more special than money you make at a job you hate. Or is that just me? The site is no longer online for different reasons, so that extra income is gone but it's motivating me to get something bigger going. Thanks for the inspiring content guys.
