Hi everyone!

I recently discontinued my full time slowlane job and with all the time I have now, I found myself reading book after book on the topic of financial freedom. I've read most of the classics including rich dad, poor dad but what really opened my eyes to all the possibilities was the millionaire fastlane . I decided to dedicate today to introducing myself on this forum (after lurking around here for a while now without having ever posted anything) and laying out a plan for a fresh start.

I currently run a slowlane service based business, although lately the revenue hasn't been coming in (no more than $205/week at this point) since I haven't really been focusing on it.

If anyone have any suggestions on how I can improve my plan, let me know :)

Year 1 - Learn as much as I can on the topic of sales, entrepreneurship, business, accounting, and programming while taking a light commission based sales job to support myself.
Year 2 - Start another business that meets all the 5 fastlane commandments.

I have about 50k saved up in investments that I will probably liquidate in order to support myself for this year while my income is still highly unpredictable. Looking forward to sharing my progress and helping & motivating those who are on a similar path!

I would suggest combining your year one and two plans together and do them both in year one. It is best to learn by doing, and you make money as you learn.

As you read and learn through alternate sources you can immediately implement what you've learned. This ensures you are less likely to forget what you've learned.

I read TMF before I had started "building", but I got a lot more out of it after I had started and begun to take myself seriously.

Best of luck!!

Thanks!

Another thing I've thought of doing is to turn my current slowlane service business and somehow convert it to a fastlane model, perhaps some sort of online recurring subscription model. I currently have a few clients that I meet on a weekly basis. The only barrier is not having the necessary skills to digitalize my business, hence the reason I'm thinking of spending the first year learning the ropes on programming.

since I haven't really been focusing on it

FOCUS on it 100% and you are sure to have consistent progress, if it's not something your willing to grind out, then it's most likely not the best route to go down.

Year 1 - Learn as much as I can on the topic of sales, entrepreneurship, business, accounting, and programming while taking a light commission based sales job to support myself.

I can assure you that you have came to the right place, everything listed above can be found on the forum. Just takes time to dig in and find the gems. You just have to WANT it, and you will find/learn it.

Anyway, welcome to the forum and I wish you the best success!
